Day 21-23, Dhërmi

September 20, 2013

So I finally went to the coat. The driver is living in France and was about to open a restaurant in Tirana. He invited us out for a coffee. First we went to Jali, but it’s an expensive place and not really nice for camping. So we head back to Dhërmi and pitched the tents on Nikki Beach. The Ionian Sea, which is south of Adria was in my opinion really nice. It had the right temperature for swimming, was quite clear and even some small fish were there.

In the evening we went to several bars and listened to live music and went to bed at 4am.

Day 22, 22.8, Dhërmi, Nikki Beach

All over the day we took naps in the tent or on the beach or went swimming and I tried to take some usable underwater photos.

In the evening we went to a Greek restaurant, where a power blackout happened for about 20 minutes. Later we moved our tents and fell asleep with nearby disco sounds.

Day 23, 23.8, Dhërmi-Vlorë

At 9.30am I went back to Vlorë. The guy worked for the military and had a VW Golf 2 with nearly 456’000km. The reason I returned to Vlorë, I left same stuff there and wanted to write same post cards.

  1. So you can access WordPress in Albania? That’s an improvement on China.

    • Well to be honest, I’m in Germany now; I just post my experiences from summer. But in Albania I didn’t experience any restrictions of the internet.
